Angela Lo Yang

DENTAL HYGIENIST & ORAL HEALTH THERAPIST

Angela is known for her gentle approach, calm presence, and careful attention to detail. Patients often describe her as reassuring, understanding, and thorough, especially those who feel nervous or have not been in for a while. She makes a point of checking in throughout appointments so people feel comfortable, informed, and in control.

Her clinical style balances precision with warmth. Angela holds herself to a high standard while taking the time to understand each person’s individual concerns. She believes great dental care is not just about clean teeth, but about trust, clear communication, and feeling genuinely supported.

At Switch

At Switch, Angela focuses on preventive care, routine hygiene appointments, and periodontal treatment. She enjoys the steady rhythm of day-to-day clinical work and the relationships that naturally develop when seeing patients regularly over time.

While hygiene and gum health are her main areas of focus, she is open to expanding her clinical scope in the future and continuing to build her skills. Angela enjoys working with a wide range of patients, from first-time visitors to long-term regulars, and values meeting people from all walks of life.

Outside Switch

Born in Bolivia and raised in East Auckland, Angela later moved to Otago for university before working in Auckland and Christchurch. She now calls Wellington home, where she lives with her husband and their much-loved corgi, Doug.

Outside of work, she enjoys creative hobbies like cross-stitch and crochet when time allows, long walks with Doug, and relaxed evenings cooking or unwinding with a show or board game. Around the table, she is a quiet assassin, patient, strategic, and waiting for the right moment to make her move.

If she could instantly master a new skill, it would be bouldering, building upper body strength while taking on a new physical challenge.
