I hadn't been to a dentist in quite some time - couple of bad experiences with my previous lifelong dentist had put me off - the last such instance was sending me home for the weekend when I required a root canal! But a filling in my front top tooth had come unstuck and half my tooth had fallen off, leaving me looking a bit like a hillbilly - so a trip to the dentist was required. My wife had been going to Switch dental for a while so I made an appointment there and was scheduled to see Laura. I have to say she did an amazing job, talked me through exactly what she was doing, told me at anytime I felt discomfort to raise my hand. Laura fixed my front tooth - and it looks amazing, you can't tell any difference at all now. So yeah, if you are looking for a good dentist then I couldn't recommend Switch Dental more!

The reception staff are amazing and friendly, professional and approachable. Mattew is always meticulous in the consultation process, making it easy to understand what is going on and what options are available. He is very gentle, and you can tell he has a passion for his profession. The dental assistant/angel/nurse made me feel at ease, especially in that freaky 360 scan. Great stuff guys, keep up the great work. I would and have recommended you to many people over the years. Bless you all Switch team.

Everyone was so lovely, dentistry has really changed since the last time I went, or maybe it’s just Switch. I was so nervous and scared of judgement but I never felt judged at all. I felt as comfortable as I could be. Thank you Matthew and your amazing team, from reception to the chair, I really appreciate the way you all treated me and how you asked me if I would like to only focus on my initial concern for coming in or my overall teeth including my sore tooth, with some past horrible dentist experiences this was relief. I felt in control of the appointment but still given great advice for my overall oral health without the judgement.

Matt's honesty and mild mannered make it easy to absorb information when you're in agony of pain, which I have no control over and not only that he listen about my needs and advise me my options (the words I would describe Matt -OUTSTANDING practitioner). the front line staffs (ladies) very delightful and warm hearted lot genuine caring tone very pleasant when your waiting to be sorted.

I had a medical procedure coming up that meant I needed to have three teeth removed following Switch Dental doing an OPG x-ray at short notice. Alex was booked up and got me a slot with Laura a couple of days later. Laura was amazingly considerate, explaining the entire procedure, which included two 3 root and one 2 root teeth being extracted. 3hrs after starting, Laura and her team of assistants completed the procedure and I left with clear instruction of how to look after my mouth etc,. I was very impressed with Laura and her team’s service and knowledge. Very gentle and caring. Highly recommended.

I Can't recommend this dental practice highly enough. Very professional and you never feel lectured to. Matt is an excellent dentist. I used to loathe going to the dentist but it feels easy and relaxed here.

Called in for a serious toothache, able to see me within a few hours of calling. Explained the prices before hand so there was no shock when paying. Treatment and follow up treatment was excellent.

Had to get my wisdom teeth out by Dr Graeme Yee and got a minor surgical treatment done by Dr Alexander Lee. Both amazing and smooth treatments with great efforts to make sure that it was painless. High degree of professionalism and answered all my questions which made me less anxious about my treatments. Highly recommend ^_^ ✨

I had such an incredible experience with the team yesterday. I was at work when I had a tooth break, i rung these guys as a first timer and they were able to see me within an hour. Dr Lauren talked me through my options and helped me with a preliminary fix. I was super embarrassed and upset but the team were awesome and helped me work through it. So unbelievably grateful.

This is an amazing Dental Practice. The team at reception are friendly, warm and informative on the phone and in person. Alex, who was my consultant dentist was brilliant. He spent a lot of time with me explaining my options, writing it down for me, illustrating what he meant with pictures while the x-ray was on the screen in front of us. I came away from the consultation informed, reassured and clear about my options going forward. There was no pressure only professional guidance that was delivered in a warm, unhurried and kind manner. This Dental Practice work as a team to deliver the best results for their patients. Had an awesome experience during a root canal procedure done by Matt. I haven't had good experiences with a previous dentist before and was really worried. This time, maximum care, minimum pain and gentle recovery. Cannot recommend Matt highly enough. The other staff at Switch are lovely too. All round, a wonderful practice.

Amazing experience at Switch Dental. I was looked after by Alex. He was attentive and informed me after all the xrays about my dental health. Super happy that I chose to switch to Switch dental (pun intended) haha, from a previous dentist that I went to. Switch has modern technology and a 360 xray machine (I don’t remember the technical name). The costs were upfront and I had options to chose what I wanted to do which was important. Thank you 🙏

I had some wisdom tooth worries but after an x-ray and consultation session, he clearly explained to me in detail about what’s currently happening, what may happen in the future, and my options today, along with his recommendations on what to do next. Having grown up in the 60's,where a trip to the dentist was akin to visiting a house of horrors for myself and other kids, and the dentist ,for me ,was on the same level of terror as Boris Karloff, Bela Lagosi or Vincent Price, it is today an enjoyable experience thank to the wonderful treatment i receive when visiting Switch Dental. Graeme , his assistant and receptionists do everything possible to make you feel welcome and the dental work I receive is of the highest standard. I cannot recommend them more highly.

This is the 1st time I see the dentist on Oct 19 When I drink cold water, I got pain. Dr. Matt explain why that happen & gave options, opinion which one is better & how much that will cost. Had the most awesome experience as soon as I entered the doors Loren was my person I had the pleasure of dealing with soft spoken really nice teeth and smile, just someone I'd want to carry on my journey with, even the receptionists ladies are welcoming I mean I walked in with a sour look but come out smiling even with my still missing one tooth. Would definitely recommend the guys at switch also cheap and affordable they also do afterpay very handy. Thank you for seeing me today to start the long road to my journey.

Before I dreaded going to the Dentist- now I not only don't dread it, I look forward to seeing our Switch family again. I know they will do everything possible to make my visit stressfree. Using modern tech. and the newest research, with a traditional community approach to care and communication , Alex and co.make me feel I am in a safe pair of hands. I’d definitely recommend coming here, everyone was so welcoming and helpful. I’m normally so anxious going into a dental clinic, but Switch Dental is hands down my best experience. The dentist (Alex) who saw me, was so awesome and explained in detail, options to help with the concerns I had, regarding my teeth. Very happy!!

Longer review below but the bottom line is: Alex and the team at Switch Dental are excellent. Really clear communication and I understood the rationale for everything and felt involved and informed in my treatment - thanks largely to Alex's explanation. All of the staff's bedside manner (or chair-side in the case of a dentist) was brilliant! ------- I was undergoing Invisalign treatment at a different orthodontic practice and they recommended seeing a dentist for a check-up. Got a detailed examination, X-ray and then a sit-down conversation with Alex about options going forward. He walked me through potential options, drawing clear diagrams for each option and expected outcomes - using the diagrams, X-rays and photos he'd taken to help explain it all. I had time to go and think about it and decided to go ahead with a crown. The team were able to coordinate the timing of my crown so that it would fit with my final scans on completing Invisalign and moving to retainers. The process of making the crown was pretty impressively hi-tech and you can even watch the crown be made in their offices. I had some issues with sensitivity after (which is of course expected, and just a little prolonged in my case). I mentioned this to them and they were very accommodating in getting me in for an X-ray and re-examination to make sure nothing had gone wrong. I told Alex the types of things that would set it off (very hot and very cold with a short period of sensitivity after) as well as the fact that it was more sensitive at the front of the tooth than the back. He was able to look, take photos and explain exactly why it was happening. Either it would get better on its own, and if not, they had a strategy to fix it. Thankfully my tooth was just taking a little longer to recover than normal but it has continued to improve as he said it would, and the reassurance provided by the follow-up was greatly appreciated. Additionally, I've been to two separate dental hygienists there and it's been by far and away the best experience for someone who normally hates the scraping and tugging.

Alex and Sarah were both really great with my 7 year old and made her feel comfortable and not scared at all. Also, Sahara is AMAZING!! I called so many dental clinics when my daughter chipped her tooth and nobody would help or even listen, instead referring me to BeeHealthy after I’d already explained they couldn’t help. Sahara told me she would do some research and after speaking with her manager, she called back and squeezed my baby in the following day. She is compassionate and above-and-beyond and deserves a bloody raise! Recommend this place 10,000%

After having quite a bit of pain, it was quick and easy to arrange a check in with Switch Dental. The staff were so polite (and good humoured) and were able to quickly and efficiently examine and explain my problem and options forward. Had a crown replaced and was first time with 3D printer tooth. Alex is very gentle handed and Sarah is great support . Process was painless and fantastic with all completed on the 1 day.

I have been coming to Switch Dentist in Lower Hutt for some years. I have had several crowns inserted and this time I am having one made in the clinic while I wait. This is helpful as it saves another visit 2 or 3 weeks after a gagging impression is taken by the dentist! This dental practice is right up to date and making dental visits less troublesome.
